I've been getting a strange "burning rubber" type smell from my car. It only happens if I run the car wide open throttle at a high speed. Like if i am cruising at like 50, and decide to run it hard up to 120. It smells exactly like burning rubber. The only thing I could think would be the belt, but it has a new belt in good condition. The belt only slips on the 1-2 shift, and I don't smell it then, so I'm dumbfounded.

All the fluids are new and synthetic, and the car runs excellent and very hard. It has the transmission modifications, and the tuned eec, lmaf, exhaust, and other goodies.

Any ideas?

I'd look on your exhaust for crispy rubber. might be any number of things touching the exhaust.

When I do that I tend to get that nice rotten egg smell, lol. I guess it's better than smelling something burning, tho.
