Well it was quite a weekend with temps of 98* and high humidity but its now in. Towards the end of the day I was not very amused that John had elected for the extra quart a Mark VIII pan provides. The kooks are a pain in the *** enough to install without having to work the mark VIII pan "wart" over the passenger side motor mount.
John will however get his real revenge on the track because I know this one will hand my sleeper it's *** once we strap on the SVO with 9lb pulley and snow water injection system.

Here is what we started with

Then this niftly forged motor shows up all disguised in Old School Ford Blue

Now a couple of shots to show just how crowded it is

well done!
There is always something good to be said for a ‘tight fit’ except when placing 11 pounds
of engine into a 10 pound engine compartment!

Sorry I wasn’t able to help, it would have been nicer than moping around here!
Tylenol and soft seating surfaces are my friend!
Are we ready for FRANCES?

Looks awesome John and Tim...I know you guys busted it to get everything buttoned up and you're not even done yet. This heat has been killer so I bet you guys are exhausted!

Why only 9lbs?
The SVO blower is not terribly efficient and that would probably be the point of diminishing returns. It's a heat machine, even with the water injection.

So how much time did you spend at the Ale House re-hydrating? That's what I want to know...

I'm up here eating my way through NYC, hanging out in jazz clubs, sleezing around Times Square, and you guys are having ALL the fun. Save some for me.

Tim, did you ever think you'd see the day? I didn't until I blocked his computer from the Corral and E-Bay. Now he's got his engine in, he'll be driving soon and racing at SSHS, and GB is still in pieces - well the good news is atl least all the parts are in the same state now... and I'll get to root for pieces of the old GB setup with John and JL...

I'm real anxious to see how my old heads, the Comps, blower and TFHS trans come together..

John, I predict she's gonna be way more than you bargained for.

To tell the truth, I never thought I would see the day either!:D

Been a long time coming. It was hot as hell. Most of the stuff we did on Saturday I should have had done already, but between my work schedule and mother nature, it was beyond my control.

No time at the Ale house. We were wiped out! Bad enough the TC slipped while we were mating the two, so once eveything was tight, the engine was bound up. Back apart it came and it all went together smoothly after re-seating the TC..

Tim was NOT real happy about that Mark pan. The "wart" hung us up fro about 30 minutes, finally after a lot of lifting and angling, she dropped in!

Now for the hours of wiring and plumbing! Hopefully in about two-three weeks time, we will be cranking her over! :D

Special thanks to Tim for all his hard work this weekend and through out this project! Also thanks to JL again for taking a 4:00 emergency Phone call from a crazed Floridian asking a dumb question as to why we can't turn the engine over!. Thanks for the follow up call last night dude. I really do appreciate it!

Stay tuned!

Looking good John! I would have stopped by this weekend, but my brother and his newly broken arm prevented that  Can't wait to see the beast in action

Hats off to you guys! It's been so hot and muggy over here I haven't had the ambition to even go outside and wash the Bird. And you guys are dropping in a built engine with headers to boot. Ah, youth!
