reason i ask is because the 90mm LMAF is 34% cheaper than the 85mm GT MAF........am i incorrect in assuming that as long as it is accounted for in the chip/EEC, there would be no problems with driveability?.......or will slightly modded 4.6 use so little of the LMAFs range that it is not worth it?

there isn't much power in a maf upgrade on a near stock car.

But, if you are getting tuned its a "mine as well" situation, because you need to get the maf transfer function tuned anyway, so why not upgrade.

The 90mm maf will work fine for your car. Snoop around the lightning boards, alot of guys are upgrading their 80mm mafs to 90mm, and the 80mm's are going for dirt cheap.

I got mine with an airbox for 40 bucks shipped back in the day on my 95.

the 02+ GT MAF is not 85mm. It is 80mm. Yeah, I know it measures 85mm, but the taper brings it down to 80mm. I got one with airbox, and air tube for $120 shipped.

The LMAF has a much larger range, so it will be less accurate, but not worth more than $20 to go with the 02GT...
