Has anyone done this?? I know a alarm would probably be easier but I'm just curious if I can goto the junkyard and pull the parts needed.

Nevermind,, I think answered my own question.. Looked at my EVTM and the wiring is complely different. Damn.

Would have been nice too,, alarm install is easy with Keyless!

The real only difference is without keyless you have to cut the lock and unlock trigger wires and use two relays or a 5 wire reversing module, instead of just hooking the alarm output to the wires.

I have done it both ways (89 Cougar no remote entry, 97 Cougar with remote entry, 2000 Grand Marquis with remote entry) and while I hated to cut the wires (versus just tapping them) I used solder and heat shrink and found a good place to do it so it isn't a hack job.
