So, probably a very simple question, but what is the reasoning behind needing a V8 T-bird harness when you are swapping a 5.0 into a 3.8 bird?
Is there anything in particular that would stop me from running a mustang harness/ECM for the engine controls?
I have no problem running aftermarket gauges if that's the only problem.
I'm sure that it is very do-able, but I'm just asking since a typical response in a thread about V8 swaps is "you need XX year t-bird V8 harness, or it's not going to work"
I know that I'm comparing a GM to a Ford, but I'm having no problems so far swapping a F-body engine harness into my Monte Carlo, so I figure that it would be the same for a Mustang to LX bird?
