It seems to only show up under 50 degree weather. Is it one of the pulleys? That sounds like where it is coming from. I know the video is worthless. It was 4:00 in the morning in the walmart parking lot on my cellphone.

That's similar to what it sounded like when the tensioner was falling apart on my crown vic, and it was grinding into the timing cover. If that's what it is, fix it immediately because if you keep running the car it will cut a hole in the timing cover and spew oil out everywhere.

Tensioner pulley is the same Ford part number as the idler.

Very easy to replace.

You do not have to replace the tensioner arm itself.

Thats kinda what my alternator sounded like in my 3.8 before it went out. At higher RPM's it would sound like a BOV. people swore it was a supercoupe, lol

i just changed the tensioner pulley and that seems to have fixed it. i guess time will tell. the old pulley definitely needed to be changed anyways. it did not spin very freely and it grinded when i turned it. thanks again to all.
