FALL 2004 AUTOFAIR CLUB DISPLAY PARTICIPANTS

Display Times: Saturday 8-6 and Sunday 8-4 Rain or Shine. Please plan on arriving at the display area no later than 7:30 am each day. In the past we've had major traffic jams occur due to arrivals at 8 am or later causing the Highway Patrol to re-route traffic. Arriving early each day will greatly reduce the chances of getting "caught in a jam". We need all the great show vehicles in place for the public when the show starts each morning at 8 am.

Parking Passes: Parking passes are to be adhered to to the lower left-hand driver's side of the windsheild.Pass improperly placed on show vehicles are causing jams, back-ups, and headaches at the entrances. The entrance gate staff must be able to see and read these passes before they can allow our show vehicles to enter the premises. If this staff can't see the parking passes well or even not at all, they must stop the vehicle which in turn, creates traffic flow problems and delays.

If you do not want to use the 'moisten and stick method' to adhere the stickers to the windsheild, please request they use a piece of tape. According to the speedway entrance staff, parking passes in a glove box or wallet, lying on a console, seat or dash - everyplace they're not supposed to be, has been directly responsible for most of the bottlenecks ocurring at the entrances.

yea....hopefully we can get Al to wash his car this time....

Last minute substitution vehicle, he was bringing his turbocoupe (now sold) but it broke down on the way there....so he brought his 96 that he hadn't planned on bringing, and didn't have time to wash it...

Let me know via PM so I can tell my wife and I can give you a 100% sure answer...thanx Joel!!!

I do have to stress that everyone that says they will be there, will actually be there. if we do not have the 10 spots filled, we will not be invited to any further autofairs. I know you guys like this event, as do I...I don't want to lose it.

Well, I will definatly be there with the 94. Pretty sure we won't be bringing both cars...of course, we don't know when it will arrive there either, so I think it is safe to say the 94 will be there. we have never been to one of these (Alaska doesn't really have them :), so we are both excited and have already looked into a hotl for the night before :) just thought I'd chime in.

Ussually after the autofair we have a cookout at either my house, or my dads. My dad loves to entertain, and the food is free. I don't think we have had a bad autofair yet. Anyone have any ideas of what else we can do other than the cookout? I'm always up for suggestions.

Hmmm, maybe a bikini contest?!? LOL, a cook out sounds cool to me, then again, after being isolated for the past few years, ANYTHING sounds good :) well, I'm not sure about anyone else, but I will have a 4 yr oldwith me...what about a bowling tourny? primarily just for fun. Or maybe set up a slip-n-slide in the back yard?!? hahaha I have to think family and not single...otherwise, I'd have better ideas :)

I wonder where they'll put us this year?

Put my name on the waiting list If someone can't make it.

I have chatted with Joel already and if no one has any objections, we're going to have the cookout at my house this year. It's about a 10 minute drive from the speedway. Here is a link to the directions: http://tinyurl.com/4ad5o

It's not very far from Matt's (super6turbo4) house.

The only thing I ask of you guys is to chip in a few bucks for food. We are on a tight budget seeing that I am the only one working and I got a 10 month old baby and a house payment. Anyway, I will be serving "adult beverages." Hope everyone likes Yuengling beer!

Hey Kodiak Kid, there a lot of kids on my street. Age range is like 10 months to 7 years old. If it's a nice day out, I'm sure will people will be out hanging out and whatnot. Hell, I've got a small inflatable pool I could setup. :D

Change for this year:

Last year we met in the Jack in the Box parking lot before the autofair, and we had to deal with a bunch of (&*#^$!* Miata's being in the way. This year, lets meet on the other side of I-85 in the Concord Mills Parking lot. Lots more room for us to meet up, and get everything in order before going to the track.

the only change is, if you are coming South on I-85 you will take a right as you exit onto speedway blvd.

If you are coming North on I-85 you will take a left as you exit onto speedway blvd.

Please plan on being there BEFORE 7:30 (yea guys, I know it's early as heck)
