Is there a difference B/W a 93 SC 3.8L and a 00 mustang 3.8L other than the Supercharger? Are they interchangeable? Basically , can I install a SC 3.8L into a mustang? I know I’d probably have to change the electronics over, but that’s doable for me.

A local guy is parting out a SC and he has a aftermarket Front right fender thats thicker than the stock fender. He told me that he wants $90 for it, is that a good price? He said that the car hasn’t been on the road for 2 years, and even when it was the fender was only on the road for 6 months. The color of the fender is SC2 Red or something like that, and I was wondering if that was the same red as my LX bird( see avatar)?

What is a good price for a SC’s Supercharger and Intercooler? I found one, and the guy only wants $300 bucks for all of it, and I was wondering if that was a goood deal? I don’t have a SC, but I’ll find A use for the Supercharger. Thinking about trying to retro fit it to my Bronco’s 200 inline six cylinder.

Well the '00 Mustang 3.8L is a split-port engine whereas the '93 SC engine is a singleport. Aside from the supercharger, there are significant differences in the internal engine parts. The block is reinforced for the added stresses to the bottom end of the engine. In addition it has a forged crankshaft and forged rods. The '00 engine will have all cast parts. The bolt pattern for the transmission will be the same but I do not know about the motor mount location. I also assume that you should be able to use the Mustang's oil pan to make sure there are not any issues clearing the K-Member.
