I got a check engine light the other day, checked it out. it came up that its too lean... 2 codes... i forgot what they were somthing like bank 1 bank2? Im thinking its an o2 sensor but im confused because i go under the car to check all of the o2 sensors for bad wires and stuff and I find that there all of them are the same except one which is a smaller one, rear drivers side. The rest of them are all bigger. I have a 96. is this right? thx for any help

You should have 4 O2 sensors 2 upstream O2 sensors off the headers (probably the bad ones that are causing the code) and you have 2 more for the rear just after the converters, all they do is make sure the converters are working. Most likely either one or both of the 02 upstream ones are bad, The computer is probably sensing a lean condition from those 02 sensors and richening up the a/f to compensate. Now firstly i would check for vacuum leaks ect and clean the MAF if you havent already. Then if that doesnt work then most likey one or both of your 02 sensors could be bad. i personally would get that check asap b4 you ruin your cats with the richened A/f.
