what a crazy day! My old man was right. It just had to be reset. I messed around with the air intake and it didnt work. If you disconnect the positivie cable of the battery (u do the negative first of course) and once u put it back together, the light will be reset, therefore off. it worked! im so glad its better now.

uhhh, problem not solved.. that just reset it until you drive around for a while and the same problem will get read.

i had my check engine light on for a while, disconnectd the battery when i put a new alternator in, and the light was off when i reconnected the battery... well, about 2 days later after some driving, it came back on, because the problem still existed (it's O2 sensors.. i've all ready had my code read). it just took 2 days of driving for the computer to realize that it was constantly getting bad info coming into it, so it threw the code.
