Good morning, all. My car is running great, however, when I make a gradual right or a hard right, the check engine light flashes on for just a second. Any ideas????
Thanks. Melanie

If it's oil, it should be the check gauges light. Watch the oil pressure gauge when you go around a sharp turn, I bet it bottoms out. Add some oil.

Make sure it's the Check Gauges light (red) and not the Check Engine light (orange).

If it's the oil pressure gauge bottoming out, as suggested, other possible causes may be that the oil pressure sender is faulty, or the connection for it is dirty.

If it is, in fact, an intermittant Check Engine light, I'd suspect a short someplace.

The oil was low. It was the check engine light. Thanks again, guys. I've learned to post here BEFORE I call the mechanic.....still looking for a new mechanic! I've given up on mine.

Thanks!

Melanie
