About the Mexican Cougar...

So was there a Ford Thunderbird in Mexico? And no Mercury cats at all? I suppose the Ford emblem and chrome trim below the light is all that would have to be changed. What else is there to know about Mexican MN12's? I've heard talk in the past of differences, this is really interesting to me. Where could I find out more?

I know someone in Mexico that has a Ford Cougar. They put the blue oval on the back and had some sort of sticker covering the Mercury in the front bumper.

They had SC'd Cougars until 95.

"There was a "COUGAR" badge over the "MERCURY" on the front bumper, but I took it off. I think fhe ford logo has at least a hole on the trunk, so it will be there until I get a repaint job someday. I don't like it.
But you can find the Mercury logo on a Grand Marquis and some other cars, but along with the Ford oval. It's weird."

Somehow that Mexican Cougar wasn't as strikinly different and 'exotic' as I imagined. Now to decide if I wanna someday import a Super Cougar or build one myself. Oh yeah and I didn't see a blower on that car!

This one happened about 20 minutes from my house in the ghetto area of buffalo. The cop ran the stop sign and broadsided the other girl. It was big news around here for a while.

Just a question- did the girl die? I am amazed at some wrecks where people lived and amazed at some wrecks where people die. A gal here in Omaha was in a Home Depot lot and ran into those lights with 4 feet of concrete around it going 10 mph. Her car was not in bad shaped but she died because she wasn't wearing a seat belt when her airbag went off.
