I know its a long shot but I am curious if the chrome radiator hoses for a mustang would work for a 96 v8 tbird. They can be found on ebay.

Chrome? You mean stainless, right? It'd be kind of hard to get real chrome to adhere to a flexible surface, and if the seller is advertising his stuff as actually being chromed, you should look elsewhere.

Oh and I don't see why the hoses wouldn't work. I put a Cobra radiator in my Bird, and reused the stock hoses, without any fitment issues at all. I don't see any problem whatsoever with the top hose, the bottom just make sure that the Mustang coolant bottle line splices in where the T-Bird line does. If not, then I'm sure there is a way to adapt a new section to the new hose.

Good luck, and let's see some pics!

I dunno about that. If that's a solid pipe with just the ends being flexible, one good hard shift or launch on a weak motor mount and your engine will be enjoying a nice steam bath while you stand there saying...well, you know what you'd say!
