I am going to try and clean my IAC on my '97 4.6.
I would appreciate some pictures and description as to how to handle this. Thanks!

I just pulled it off (2 bolts and an electrical connector), capped one end with my thumb, filled it about half full of rubbing alcohol, place palm over the other open end and shake. Repeat several times. I stuck my pinky in it and swirled it around too. That cleaned a bit more carbon gunk.

My IAC was dirty enough it was beginning to stick and the engine would stall... after cleaning it still works fine a couple of years later.
