Ok im pretty sure i going to need a clock spring. My symptoms are no cruise control, no horn ( unless someone cuts me off) air bag pulses a code 32. This might seem unrelated but my turn signal stalk stays either left or right no matter what position the wheel was it, and i have to bring it back myself or i signal forever. But my question is the clock spring a dealer only item? if so would it be worth it to buy it used? I feel really unsafe knowing my bag wont go off if i get into a wreck, even worse becuase my seatbelt wont lock up, so i think :cbones:. Is there anyway i can tell if the clock spring is bad? I have a few days off till i go back to work, and if i can find these parts in a yard (seatbelt and clock spring) for cheap then my 45 mile drive to work will be alot less nerve wrecking TIA

The clockspring may or may not be dealer-only item, but I am sure you could get it for cheap at a junkyard. If you want to test it, you could test for voltage at the cruise wires, but I would be extra-careful what wires I tested. And please follow all the airbag precautions. (Unplug battery and leave it unplugged, come back 15-30 minutes later, remove airbag and keep pointed away from face at all times. Wherever you place it, place it face-up, so that if it accidentally discharges, it won't fire off like a rocket.)
