I have a 90 3.8, and whenever i'm accelerating and let the gas off quickly, when it shifts i hear a clunk comming from the rear of the car and the whole car slightly jerks back and forth. it seems to really be loud if im in overdrive and going down a hill and tap and let off the gas it clunks and jerks. I replaced the u-joints and it didnt help. I changed the rear diff fluid and it was really dark black but no shavings or anything. It has 102K miles. Another question, my transmission seems to shift quick and firm into all gears and my friend has a 96 3.8 with the same mileage, and his seems like it takes it longer and feels smoother when it shifts. Are they 2 totally different transmissions? I would appreciate any input,
