I don't think the splines would match up, the Cobra has 31 spline and the MN12 is 28 spline.

I did it, but I had to have the side gears swapped out
from 31 spline to 28 spline.

It involves taking the differential apart, so I would have a dealer or
a shop do it. The side gears would have to be purchased from a
dealer or someone who sell reart end parts. They must be IRS side gears,
because they have groove machined in them to allow the circlip on the
end of the axles to snap in.

Would it be easier to create a set of hybrid half-shafts that have the 28 spline Tbird hub style on one end and the 31 spline Cobra IRS style on the other? Or is that going to be more money? :2huh:

I'm pretty sure a "bolt on" (thats what the side gear change sounds like) is gonna be less expensive than having custom shafts made.

Look at the group purchases. There is a GP going on that will have the 31 spline inners and the 28 spline outers.

I thought it was only the 99's that had 28 splines, and that after 99 they changed to 31?

'99 only had 28 spline. If you get one cheap, and need the side gears, Call Dan, he found the side gears for Ozzman, I think they cost $70 though.
