alright, hope you ready for this.....

got a chip made from lonnie a while ago, and since its been running its has been nothing but trouble..

i finally got around to getting the car to the dyno for some parameter readings for lonnie... well lets just say the results of the dyno were devestating...
mods.......first

4.2L crank, 351W long rods, wiseco forges pisons, .30 over bore. split port swap, port/polish heads, intake manifolds, delta cam 214/220 512/512, long tube headers, 2 1/2 in true dual, 73mm maf, 60 mm TB, TB spacer, intake manifold spacer, 1.73 roller rockers, CAI, Fuel pressure regulator. monster trans, 2800 stall, alum drive shaft, 8.8" rear w/3.73's, under drive pulleys, EGR delete

basically thats all that matters for now.....

90HP/138TQ.....

Now how does this make any sense!!!!!!!!!

i pulled codes today after the pull..... ACT open fail, egr no voltage to transducer

on the dyno sheet it said my AFR was at a average of 18.9.....WAY lean, maf voltage was under a volt majority of the time, loop was closed..... now lonnie is telling me its my motor.... is he right!!!!

Im just getting so tired of this car and trying to find someone to help tune this thing..... so stand by for a part out if its "MY MOTOR".

how does it run without the chip? send the parameters to lonnie asap and try to get that beast running right!

sorry to hear about your result. First time i dyno'd my old car i got 140rwhp and was like "wtf?", then i figured the settings were wrong on the dyno program then it got 191 and THEN i had a big smile lol...

PMed you the video from Famosa. Can't wait to hear how the car does with a proper tune. I can't imagine that it's your "Motor" that's causing the trouble.

90HP/138TQ would expain you times at Famosa.

I have some other pictures of your car if you're interested. I could post them here or PM them to you. Just let me know.

is the cam timing off? Are you running a distributor or DIS? How is the timing, either way. And if DIS, was the cam position sensor installed correctly? What RPM was the dyno run up to at that AFR? If it wasnt a full run then the numbers will be lower also.

the cam timing is correct, it was done by a professional engine shop

the timing might be a issue. i believe its at 6 degrees BTDC at least thats what the dyno sheet showed.

i am running a distributer!

dyno pull was a full pull.....5000rpm!

... this is sort of a long shot, but are you sure you wired the engine harness correctly? If the motor is physically set up correctly, and IF the fuel pressure is correct (which is a problem I remember you having...), then I have to assume you have a wiring problem somewhere. What's up with the ACT sensor failing? Is that a sensor problem or a wiring issue?

Well stock is 10*, and Im sure you could get away with 14-18* for better power, but it certainly wouldn't make 120-140hp difference, which is where I believe you should be with that setup. You've got something very wrong with your car, and I only wish you lived closer, because I would gladly take a look at it for you.

120-140hp is still worse than a stock 3.8L!!! so i should be higher than that too! it sucks that all of you smart techs are all spread out. i could use another smart brain in cali....

im pretty sure that its at 16* right now, compensating for the 10* stock +6* that i did..

as far as wiring the harness, a only had to change one connector on my TPS. everything else is the original stock harness.

well im not sure what its even supposed to have fuel pressure wise... mabay a fellow split porter could give me a ballpark figure to work with..

the ACT sensor failing im not getting either. i didn't mess with the connector.. but if i remember correctly its in the MAF...its a 73MM C&L..
