Need some info asap. Will be headed to a salvage this PM where I have been told that that is a Thunderbird SC car and several other 3.8 cars of sorts.

My question is: Is there a difference in the coil packs on the none SC cars and the Supercharged ones?

Also, what are some good parts to look for-- other than the obvious ones, i.e. the Supercharger, and stuff like that?

The 1989-1995 3.8 naturally aspirated engines used a single coil and a distributor. All Super Coupes (and the 94-95 3.8 California emissions cars) used a single, six-coil pack in what's known as an electronic distributorless ignition system (EDIS).

That said... the EDIS coils don't fail nearly as often as the coils found on the distributor equipped cars do.

The most common SC stuff to look for, aside from engine stuff, is usually the GFX/rear bumper cover, interior goodies (seats, switches etc.)...
