Just wondering if there are any tips regarding coolant reservoir removal and cleaning, just picked up a 94 Bird with 4.6 and reservoir is black as is the anti-freeze, i'm thinking blackness might be caused by BARR'S stop leak? I hope not, car has 94k on it. any tips or thoughts on this.

When I cleaned mine out, the removal was a piece of cake. As far as cleaning out the inside, I used a pipe cleaner to get in there and scrub, and of course lots of high pressure hose water from a hose gun style sprayer. Worked pretty good 4 me.

There are 4 chambers inside the resivoir .. I had one that was full of rust .. was never able to get it fully cleaned out until I cut the top half off .. then it was very clean. Tried to epoxy it back together, but it never sealed completely. So I just bought a new one.
