Which one of the cooling line connections on the side of the transmission is the output to the transmission cooler? top or bottom?
Same question about the radiator line connections, which one is the input from the transmission, and which one returns the cooled fluid back to the transmission?

Thanks, David

It goes into the heat exchanger (hot from the tranny) at the bottom of the rad, then comes out the top. I plumbed my cooler in after the stock cooler, so I used the top line out of the radiator into my cooler, then the line out of my cooler back into the line that came out the top of the radiator. Not sure at the tranny; you should be able to trace the lines easily enough.

Hot transmission fluid leaves the 4R70W from the BOTTOM fitting and returns after cooling through the TOP fitting.

This is directly opposite of the older AOD/AODE which hot fluid leaves from the top.

Here is a reference from BEcontrols: http://www.becontrols.com/ourfaqs/aodfaq_1.htm#12213308
