What's the correct Idle speed of a 3.8 stock engine? Somehow I think mine is way off.

In drive, 600. At operating temperature in park or neutral, 800.

Wouldn't it be better to fix the vibration problem rather than running the idle up?

Just saying.

Yes, believe me, if I knew what the problem was that causes the rough idle, I would have fixed it haha. Its very confusing, everything that would come to mind when you think running rough has been replaced/fixed, to no avail :/

Compression? Cylinder balance? Leakdown test? Cam checked for a worn lobe? New lifters / pushrods / rockers? Heads checked and redone?

Until you've torn the motor down and blueprinted it back together, not everything has been done :diablo:
