So i was on the highway and this motorcycle cop come on from the overpass..so since I have a bit of a lead foot I go to set my cruise control till he gets off. So I go to set cruise at 70 i hit on and set accellerate to 70. It looks like it locks in at 70, but then it drops down to 65 locks in and then quickly accelerates to 85. So i turn it off and figure it was just a freak occurence.

Then on the way back at night the freeway was pretty empty so I tried it again...it did this all 4 times I tried. What the hell is going on..it used to work fine. Anyone got any ideas?

Well, I had something similar happen with my '95. Does it now do it every time you set cruse? I ended up replacing my cruse servo ($135, IIRC) and the problem went away.

The cruise servo is in the drivers side fender, in front of the wheel. Not the easiest thing to remove...

What happend with mine is when I set the cruise, the car would slow down, then when it got to a certain amount below my set speed, it would acelerate past my set point, then slow down, and repeat.
