Independent body shop wants $1800 to fix it. TIme to go yard hunting for a hood, headlight assembly, turnsignal, and headlight mount panel!

Cheap? I could understand $1800 if it was a fender or something that would have to be cut out/bondo'd/ etc, but a hood?

unbolt, bolt on new one, paint, done.

lights? Unbolt on new one, aim, done.

I'l lprobably end up doing everything but the painting myself.

This was around 5 grand. 84 bucks from goin to the scrap yard.

If your air bags had come out, it'd have doubled it.

Painting is expensive dude. I scuffed the corner of mine once; the only piece that had to be replaced was the turnsignal lense. The bill was $8-900.

These guys helping with parts should really help your wallet though.

If I were you I would look for a 96-97 hood, headlight mounting panel, and grab the lights as well. Almost all of that stuff is jacked up so you might as well take this as an opportune time to upgrade.

i hit a deer with my 91 cougar and it cost me 3grand to fix it. and all it messed up was a hood, fender, lightbar, and a couple lights. but of course the door had to be painted and the front bumper too. you are lucky with the deal on the hood....factory one for my car is 600 bucks

the ford prices arent terrible except for the hood. you can usually get a used hood from a yard for 100 -150 . header and lights your better off new. ones from a junk yard tend to be that - junk. fenders arent terrbile either, my ford employee price is alot better , but i cant tell you that price. i think they are just over $200? dont hold to that though.
