We're getting hammered here pretty good tonight.

It actually cooled off long enough for me to get the remaining driver's side strut rod bushings out of the Bird.

It's been too hot to do it until after the rain this evening. The sun must be fartin' again. :)

Very dry here in SE Michigan - Detroit area. We really need the rain and a good thunderstorm to cool things off. When it comes our way it fizzles out or stays to the south. Same exact thing happened today. Lawns here are yellow and brown.

The transformer down at the street just arc'd for a few seconds and then the power came back on.

My neighbor's grove of pecan trees tends to make me paranoid during the summer.

The big limbs have gone down in broad daylight in the past without warning and there are a couple that overhang my property and power line by a fair amount.

The largest of the limbs, of course, is the one closest to the house.

Pecan trees really seem to grow more like bushes than trees. Fast and brittle.
