So I discovered this morning that my differential seems to be leaking. I searched around and understand the process to repair the rear seal and found some info on replacing the seals at the halfshafts.

My question - based on the picture below, does it look like the right seal could be only thing that is leaking and is just dripping down the side of the case to make it look like that it's leaking too? I'd prefer to keep the work to a minimum for now, so if I only have to replace the right seal vs. right seal + remove the cover and RTV that... I'd prefer to simply do the right seal. But if it simply makes no sense to not re-RTV the rear cover then I suppose I can handle doing that. I just have a very limited window to have the car non-roadworthy.

I have never seen any spots on the driveway from the leak.

Mine has a leak out the passenger side axle too. Where could I find info on the seal replacement? Are there any write ups?

yes...axle seal...just make sure your vent tube/vent is open and not clogged up..
a lot of axle leaks will come from clogged vents and pressure building up inside the diff.
