Hey guys, I know this will vary by area, but I was looking to swap the 3.08's out of my 5.0 bird, with the 3.27's from a V6, but the scrap yards around here are telling me $250 for the pumpkin. That seems a little insane, but does that sound right? It seems I should be able to find a V6 bird with little to no trouble, but $250 just seems crazy. What are the thoughts here?

Thanks!

Don't get one from a V6 unless it is a SC. The n/a V6's use 7.5" ring gear, V8's and SC's use 8.8.

$250 for a 3.27 traction lock pumpkin is a good deal. Make sure it has a tag that says 3L27. An 8.8 pumpkin will bolt right in with no changes, put some new axles seals in it while you have it out and change the fluid.
