I had my steering rack, inner tie rods and strut rod bushing replaced recently.

The previous nylon strut rod bushings creaked in certain humidity and when the weather got cooler. My new (Ford) rubber bushings are now making the same creaking sound (but its not cold out). I looked under the car, and the bushings just don't look the same. I wanted to get opinions from those who have put these in themselves. Does the lower control arm side look OK?

Both bushings on either side of the control arm are in symmetrical with like sides facing each other, so is the bottom bushing in the picture in backward as well?

Can somebody post a pic of them in the correct way? The mechanic insists they only go in one way.

If not, I’ll just have to change them whenever I get around to replacing the shocks and lower control arms. I don’t really see any harm being done in the meantime.
