I cut off the gianormous mufflers and it sounds more like it should sound. If I put turn downs on it will it change the sound?

It will. I had cut off my old, junky rusty turndowns at the beginning of the year and was driving it around until I put new stainless turndowns on - it was noticeably louder with the turndowns gone.

I had less drone with than without them. It was probably sound waves getting trapped under the trunk/behind the bumper then with the turndowns it's directed out back.

Show off... Here's my turndowns(well actually downward angled tips) from a distance that flatters my paint :tongue:

FWIW when I had stock exhaust and cut mufflers, I noticed zero difference between turndowns/non turndowns. Drone, loudness or otherwise. I think the effects between the two is amplified by the larger true duals.

:tongue: It was the most recent picture I had of the turndowns installed.

I have a good bit of drone one way or the other at city cruise speeds. Because there was so much I think it was a lot easier for me to notice when the amount increased or decreased any.

My car has turn downs close to the factory setup and I have no drone...

What about the third cat does it sound much different if I cut that off?
