I just did the MN12 Door Hinge Repair Kit on my drivers door and it is still about a 1/4 inch low, better but not straight. I think it is due to two reasons. One, around the striker pin the metal is cracking and it moves in and out (not up and down). The second is maybe the upper is bad as well? Has anyone else had this problem? I know that there has been some guys on here that have had to weld around the striker pin, I was wondering how it is holding up. Thanks.

well i fixed my lower hinge, couldnt get it aligned, so i sent it to the ford body shop they aligned it for 50 bucks, but there was still play in the upper hinge, so a couple weeks later i went back and they replaced the upper and re-aligned it for me parts and labor on the upper hing and alignment they only charged me 150, and just to align the door the first time they charged 50 bucks, so for about 280 (including cost of lower door hinge) my drivers door closes like new ! but the passenger is still a pile of junk
