At highway speeds my car jerks and drifts left to right. It also does this when i brake moderately. I've looked at all my front suspension components and they all look in good shape. And i just had an alignment recently. Does this sound like something in my rack and pinion maybe? Also, i didn't know you couldn't get UCA's or LCA's at autozone??? Because i was gunna get some, but he said they don't carry them?? :zdunno: I figure that while i'm under there for the tokico's and the poly's, i'd try to pinpoint this problem and fix it. But does anyone have suggestions as to what it might be?

Thanks,

Adam B.

Would that cause drifting left and right at highway speeds? maybe a bad bushing or something?

Well they should be available

Left hand upper = Moog # K8596
Left hand lower = Moog # k80053

Right hand Upper = Moog # K8598
Right hand lower = Moog # k80055

I agree with the sway bar bushings..
The other thing to look at is your strut rod bushings in the front.
If they are loose the car will tend to follow the road and sway.

Bad ball joints would certainly cause that problem. Extremely worn tie rod ends would also cause that, but they should have told you that they were worn when you had a front end alignment. The front end can't be aligned properly with worn ball joints or tie rod ends...

Just a thought, could a bad tire cause this problem? Because i've hit quite a few potholes up here in columbus with my 18's. And i think i'm gunna call BS on autozone for telling me that they didn't carry the UCA's or LCA's. I looked it up on their website. :zbash:
