I want to be able to go 105 mph, I am going to get a chip, which ones take off the governor, and what driveshaft (that I can top out with) is the cheapest?, or would I just be better off to get my stock shaft balanced? i can't find a mark D/S or T/C for sale. Thanks P.S. if anyone has any mark driveline components lying around I will buy them, I have 97 4.6. Thanks

Your TBird should be able to do 105 now:D

I think all chips remove the governor, the ones recommended here do.

and there are 2 others, Dom and BHerron( I think not sure but I heard somewhere that he does this now too )

You can get a MMX driveshaft from Dennis Reinhart but it is pricey or a 93 MKVIII one.

My 97 is a Sport and I have been over 105 a few times without any trouble from the stock shaft. I don't care for the flimsy thing but I don't run quite that fast all the time. I was told when I ordered my Bird that on the Sport version, the computer cuts out at 134 MPH. I haven't proved it as most roads are too short, but I know 120 is for real. So you may be able to use a computer from a Sport?

I knew what you meant, that is why I put a smiley on my smart, you know what remark.

Yes, you need a chip or a reflash to go over a 105. If you get a chip, you should but not necessary, replace your driveshaft, just for safety reasons. Some have had luck with their stock driveshafts over a 105.
