Hey guys, I'm getting ready to drop the Y-Pipe on my 95 LX 4.6 and I was just wondering if anyone had any helpful hints or anything like that? I'll be doing this without a lift so any help will be appreciated,
I'm not replacing it, just knocking the cats out. The division I race in you must have stock exhaust 48" from the head but you can knock the cats out. Well I didnt have enough time before the first race to do so, and after the feature you could see the heat just rolling off the floor from how hot the cats had gotten. So I'm just going to take it down, measure the 48", cut, and clean out the cats.
I actually have a BBK off road X-pipe off a 4.6 mustang, but I dont belive it will work in the t-bird. Besides that would technically be cheating and we dont want to do that.....yet LOL.
Thanks for the info,
Brandon
