Anybody ever try to put two ecu's on the same circuit but with a transfer switch to the stock one when it's time for emissions?

Why? There’s no emissions equipment worth deleting and as long as the monitors are present there won’t be any flags for an emissions inspection to find even with an aftermarket tune.

Maybe back in the day before ppl could switch profiles so easily. Thinking more about it with bluetooth you could change ecm stock values back in the blink of an eye.

They used to make switch chips. The only reason you would want to change the tune is if you had engine modifications that necessitate a tune, or if you had a "performance" tune along with an "economy" tune.
