Thought it might be fitting to put some old info up. This was on my 1995 4.6L Greenbird. After the muffler it was split to two pipes out the back with oval tips. No resonators
First is the Dynomax part number breakdown. I used this info to buy just the piping I needed to do a custom setup.


Here is the muffler I used mid-mounted 2 in 1 out:

sounds good. Where on the car was the exhaust sound recorded if you remember?

Cool deal Richard thank you much that is what I am going to replace my mid muffer with I already have the Dyno Cat Back system , Again Thank you sir :)

I had the microphone hanging out of the trunk and basically on the bumper cover.

was it loud in the car? BTW, any noticeable power gains, if any?

It was pretty quiet in the car, slight deep drone, but not annoying.

That was the final exhaust setup on that car after many different setups.
all of them used some sort of 3rd-cat/ resonator removal.
There was some improvement over the stock exhaust.

My old records show that removing the third cat and resonator and putting on the dynomax intermediate pipe with stock mufflers gained 2 mph in the 1/4 Mile. Not much. The changeout of mufflers came later and then to open pipes.

In my opinion anything you do to the intake side and calibration of the engine performance will be maximized when your exhaust is breathing well. Not doing the exhaust will lessen the effects of all other mods.
