My e-brake light seems to turn on when the e-brake is not engaged. This usually happens when I accelerate hard and I just use my other foot to pull on the rear of the e-break pedal and it stops.

Is there a handy way to adjust/stop this thing from going off like this?

get under the rear of the car, and properly adjust the cable. The tension will keep the foot brake against the sensor.

This may be the lazy way, but just unplug it until you have the time to get under there and adjust it, it makes it go out (that's how i fixed my old T-birds) You still need it adjusted, but it will make it less annoying until you have time to climb under there

My problem was the adjustment on the switch... ebrake was adjusted perfectly. The switch has a screw-type adjustment on it, just thread it out a few turns. Worked for me!
