Ok, I'm sure this idea has crossed someone's mind. Who is gonna build a hybrid Thunderbird first? Here's a video of a new Challenger converted and I think it's pretty cool: http://media.origin.popularmechanics.com/documents/ecomuscle/video.html

I mean, you can have your cake and eat it too. Imagine silently pulling up next to a hotrod Thunderbird that can outrun you AND gets 100+ miles per gallon.:cool::cool:

If you want 100+mpg that means diesel-electric and preformance means Li-ion or Zi-ion.

Yawn.... greenies still think plug in hybrids are "eco" eh?

Btw does the paint job and carbon fiber treatment on the challenger remind anyone of a certain ford in the 90's?
I was thinking that too and was wondering how many others would catch that...

ever wonder how much fossil fuel is burned to create the electricity needed to charge those plug ins?

i was thinking that too... took me a few minutes to remember the name of it
That wasn't the one I was thinking of. The Mustang I was thinking of was an 1980-90's Stang that was in the drag circuit, but I can't find any pictures of it...

The paint scheme was almost identical to that Challenger.
