Is there any difference in pinout between the 94-95 4.6 EEC-V and the 96-97 4.6 EEC-V? If I am putting a '04 explorer motor in my '95 would using a 96-97 computer help anything?

Thanx in advance.

there is a difference. the 94/95 uses an external EDIS module. 96/97 has it inside the EEC. Will it help? No, because after you get it tuned, none of that crap matters.

Being OBDII, 96 and up PCMs have much greater diagnostics and you can pull a lot more out of the data stream. I would go with OBDII.

From what I have read the 4.6 TBird for 95 is OBDII but not full compliance. The 3.8 is OBDI
