I was supposed to recieve my emissions notice in 2009 but never did. (I've always recieved them every 2 years on the odd numbered year). Has anybody else not recieved theirs when they were supposed to?

I know the answer to this one! They are overhauling the program again, taking out the rollers, they are only going to do either the computer only tests, 96 and up, and just the tailpipe test in park for the others. So they got way behind while the buildings were out of commission. Sadly, it is still required in only a few counties, the rest don't have to pay for this total waste of time and money.

Do you know if Baltimore County is one of them? My cars still throwing a rich code...even after it was leaned out on the dyno. I can't figure out the problem. I know I can use my Xcal2 to get rid of the "Check Engine" light, but I'm not sure if they can still catch onto it or not. Once I get an emissions notice again, I'm gonna be running around like a chicken with it's head cut off! lol. (only kidding)

Frank,
They have not changed the counties requring the tests, sadly, but just had a few month stoppage of the fake tests.. I am sure Baltimore City and County are still in it, if we are down here! I think they just check for codes in the last 40 starts or whatever is in memory. Heard that they will flunk a car with no history (killing the power long enough to remove history) so that won't work here either.

Heads up on clearing the codes... I tried it a couple weeks ago. the system shows that the ECU was reset and they tell you to come back in a month :-( I was pissed.

If I received my sticker in 2009 with no emissions notice, does that mean I won't have to worry about emissions until 2011? (when my sticker expires) Aren't the new registrations affiliated with emissions notices or no?

I finally have my car running great! That SOB HAULS ASS since the tranny was just rebuilt with a shift kit! I've cleared the check light with my XCal2, but I'm afraid it's going to come back again and i would LOVE to just enjoy this car for a year without having to put any more money into it to straighten out the P0175 code issue just so it passes emissions aka "NAZI Checkpoint" lol

I am not sure about your truck, my F250 4 x 4 has to be tested as it has a gas engine. They used to only do the rev it up in park tailpipe test on it however. Now that they took out the rollers, not sure if they will continue that or go to just the plug in and check for codes on the larger trucks.
