mjdub312,

The brown could be from rusting cast iron engine block. How many miles / years on your coolant? If it has been replaced, what type did they (or you) put in?

you know, i have no idea. ive only had the car about 2 months now.

i know the engine has been replaced, though, and the last correct odometer reading was 113k miles.....but the odometer was rollled back for the engine replacement to 62k miles. according to the previous owner it was okay that they did that, and on a carfax report it stated that this car was odometer reading exempt.

mjdub312,

Recommend you have the coolant drained and flushed, then refill with Motorcraft Premium Gold Engine Coolant.

I'd make sure that there is no Tranny Fluid in the Radiator... chances are that the flush will be good enough.
