Codes p1047 P1405

As I've moved away from the issues related to the body of my car , in the Hope's to just maybe sell it, I changed the end links making it as best as I can for a safe resale . Today I noticed a sluggish response at throttle mainly upon acceleration not so much after im up to speed this is contributed with what sounds like a little back fire/popping
No idea what to think No mil light but checked codes anyways and have 2 one is upstream hose problem if this was existing it didn't present issues for the last 2 weeks i had a vaccum line issue which might been caused by the fact I had to change the pcv tee dorman 47072 under TB. So I am pawning that one as not a issue just a code I created or never pulled the + cable off to reset that one

Other code cam pos sensor B electrical issue . Which once again could have been a old code Not even sure if this would yield a idle or throttle response issue ?
Everything was good all I did do honestly was added 4oz of marvel's oil to 15 gal fuel just to help out with any filth and gunk and I added maybe an oz to oil .
I only could think maybe I'm fouling plugs, or the additive may have caused something with the fuel filter , but I cant see marvel's being a detergent in such like seafoam and surely not in 20 miles of driving
Tell me this is not related

You can't type.

you meant a P1407 code, and a p1405 code.

Both are EGR problems, and there are tons of threads on them.

A p1047 references sensors we don't have.

Search is your friend: type "P1047 P1405 code site tccoa.com" into the google and see what comes up.

Maybe I cant type maybe I'm a ball of fukin stress like noone can imagine /plus I have a worthless phone that throws out whatever keys it wants so I run with it . So be it , but the great minds here already knew what codes I meant to say.

I already read about the egr tubes and setup for 94/95 cars that has bends and curves and impossible to clean supposedly by anyone who attempted and worse then that unavailable for purchase as most said thats the best route . This is why I jumped the gun on suggestions that may put my symptoms elsewhere if them are old codes .
I hate the 4.6 lack of space too work in with so many complex unnecessary parts for its era crammed in to a sardine can.
So any suggestions about marvel's I used vs the throttle sluggish symptoms

You need a DPFE and probably a plenum removal for egr carbon passage cleaning. Good chance that the valve is fine. I'd start with removing the plenum elbow and cleaning the crap out of the "U" shape area and changing the DPFE sensor/EGR pressure sensor.

Do you know where I should be looking for the specific egr tube location/ illustrations, if it's as involved as talked about with removing 1/4 of the cars components from under exhaust ,resonator etc... and then hopefully being able to crack the egr nut loose not to mention this seems like a hoist job , then I'm pretty deterred from wanting to do this .
Sea foam wont help will it ? Is there anyway to just do dpfe and figure out if the passages are clean by any means of assumption based on how a car runs?Today it ran better for some reason, this made me wonder initially about adding that marvels to the gas and oil, to me it seemed like a miss but the very small amount muffled backfiring wasnt coming from tail pipe it was def from engine bay upon hard acceleration almost like escaping through airbox that didn't make sense either ,but was def not coming from tail end of car.

The only reason I tried marvel's oil was to try and help out some of the very slight valve noise the passenger side has . Motor Still runs strong dont seem to burn oil like say the 94-95 do and no blow by ,just some slight valve train noises maybe lifter noise minimal. Could have tried sea foam but didn't.

The first place to clean for the EGR is under the throttle body plenum. That should clear that code up. The pipe clogs up last, and takes a lot of oil burning to clog. Both parts do, actually. Keep an eye on the oil level.

Seafoam will not clean it, but adding a can to a full tank is not a bad idea. But keep in mind, if there are vacuum hoses on their last leg, the Seafoam will finish them off. I had that happen with the fuel vapor canister hoses. On second thought, skip the Seafoam!

I think the Marvels was more for carbureted cars.

I'll give it a shot.. I think if there was a mil light issue burned out or disconnected it would have had that code for that .
So by checking the codes with no engine light on , makes me wonder if this is very old code info from previous fixes without any reset done.
I found the article showing where the majority of the 96-97 vacuum hoses are highlighted as "Red" for the 96-97 but only shows the two for the 94-95 which are the ones I replaced already "pcv t" etc...
Must be a few more down by fuel filter /tank and a few coming off the evap canister

If your crossover pipe (the one going from one head to another at the back of the engine for this 5.0) is clogged beyond being able to clean, I have one from a car with 95K mi I'm happy to sell you for a few bucks to cover shipping. LMK as its one of the last non-racecar bits of tbird stuff I still have in my garage.

Diagram I found that illustrates only two vaccum hoses for the 94-95 as far as the top of the engine is concerned. Any of the red labeled hoses for 96-97 same for a 95
The green labeled hoses are in addition to the red, go through the whole article. He has a picture with 9 different hoses, plus he mentions he found a couple of more.

Are you referring to a 5.0 pipe I think you may be thinking I have a 5.0 car
I used to have that car ... my response was I had easily cleaned my 5.0 egr tube, but I'm referring to this egr issue on my 95 4.6L car now
I still retain my tccoa Username as 1991 5.0
Thank you for the offer if the part is for a 5.0 car

Tbody Looked clean from the start still did some extra cleaning. Will see if it improved

Spotted a issue<img src="http://forums.tccoa.com/images/smilies/vb2_smile.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" class="inlineimg" /> can anyone see the unattached line
I cant locate which line is missing! Def a solid vaccum leak im plugging with finger

Alson found some other possible big major issue, small amount of Green antifreeze puddle directly below therm housing sitting on top of intake , in which I have 0 fluid anywhere or on ground .

So I have wiped it away seeing if reappears after running at idle , in which it hasn't.

Maybe it's only the therm housing gasket with any luck. But the vaccum line that is missing to this electrical unit in the 5th pic cant find where its located or routes too.

If pic # 5 posted is the purge valve it sits accessibly right through bumper cover .
It also has a line off and missing unattached if can look closely just the rotter hose is on. I cant even begin to see where the line should come from or go to off the other end of the valve !

Ok, you edited the pictures!

When I changed mine, I pulled the fender liner and the tire off. You'll be able to see everything and have better access. If I remember, it connects to the charcoal cannister.

Aside from having a vaccum pull and leak there, does having that line off cause any real symptoms as to how the car will run, because seemingly it been running good that lines been off since I got it and never noticed any issues how it ran but I always had thought I heard a hissing in that area

Can't say how it will run, but might explain the code(s) you have. Change all your vacuum lines, looks like you need them all done. I'd change the purge valve while your at it.

Well you definitely have a purge valve vacuum hose to reconnect but stop shuffling around and pull the elbow the throttle body attaches to (plenum) and clean the horseshoe groove to get that EGR flowing again.

Here is a pic of the purge flow sensor and how the plastic lines attach. These both connect to the canister.

And I highly recommend changing your screen name. It's been a source of confusion on here for a while, lol!
