need some help or actually just everyones thoughts. My dad and i are rebuilding his 97 thunderbird. We have it completly torn down and im just curios if there are any things to be concerned with or that have any weird instructions for reassembly. I appreciate any info or experience that people might have. Secondly is he wants a HO oil pump that is reliable. anyone know of any. i suggested the mark 8 one but that requires the mark 8 pickup and pan right?

thanks for the help.

its a 4.6

yes, durring reassembly you must use new head gaskets and new head bolts, you have to torque all of the new bolts down in a certain pattern than stretch them by angle twice, than loosen them, and than do it again.... if you don't have a haynes book or chiltons book than get one asap.

Use a stock pump unless you are planning to run 4V heads.

I am right over in Orlando so hit me up if you want anything for that motor, if it was mine I would install Mark VIII pistons and PI cams, I have both if you need (I actually have about 6 sets at the moment as I do alot of work on these motors)
