My 97 T-bird (4.6L) is running rich... I go through a set of plugs at least once a year. I have to still replace EGR sensor when I can contort my body like stretch armstrong to get it on.. Plus I need a battery seven years for factory is pretty good. I am wondering about the O 2 sensors... How many does the 4.6L have or the t-bird. My bros 5.0 stang had 4. They are OE and I have 93K on the clock. Please advise me as to other things I need to replace thanks I can be reached at [email protected]

Thanks

You should put in new plugs each year anyway, but are they getting gassed out or what? EGR on a '97 is hella easy (94-5 is the *****), although I wouldn't change it unless it was giving you some problems. Clean your MAF, put in plugs (22c if you are in the south), replace your tranny fluid with mercon V and add a tranny cooler, change the fuel filter and maybe the air filter too. Run a can of B12 through your gas tank, it cleans injectors hella good. That's about all I would do.
