'94 Thunderbird with a 3.8L V6.

Was a grandma car 55k original miles on her. Body was really rough...

Am a certified ICAR body man. Pretty much got body straight now working on paint job. Now question is.. I've read the post on the Explorer swap. What would be easier doing the explorer swap or dropping in a 302? As if you do the explorer swap what all will still work as far as the computer and fuel pump and wiring harness and will it bolt up to the factory overdrive tranny or would I have to find a donor 4.6 bird and switch all that over?

Has anyone done this 3.8 swap to the V8? Was unable to find any write up for it being done.

The 3.8 transmission shares the bolt pattern with the 5.0 but is different than the 4.6. If you go Explorer swap route you will need a donor 4R70W from a 4.6 car along with the engine and PCM/wiring harness. Either way you go you'll need a donor PCM and harness.
