Since when is it illegal in Florida to remove Catylitic Convertors? Or did I miss that memo? I went to an Exhaust shop in Clearwater on Friday to ask about pricing and they told me THEY can't remove the Cat's but if I did them they would do the exhaust work. Anyways Im looking for a dual in dual out muffler. Any recomendations in sizes and where it should be mounted?

For quite some time:

62-243.400 Prohibitions.
(1) On and after January 1, 1990, no person shall operate on the public roads or streets of this state any nonexempt motor vehicle that has been tampered with.

Specific Authority 316.2935 FS. Law Implemented 316.2935 FS. History–New 2-21-90, Amended 5-29-90, 1-2-91, Formerly 17-243.400.

and also:

1. Florida law prohibits the operation, sale, lease, or transfer of title of any automobile or light-duty truck (1975 or newer, 10,000 pounds gross vehicle weight or less) that has been tampered with. "Tampering" means the dismantling, removal, or rendering ineffective of any air pollution control device or system which has been installed on a motor vehicle by the vehicle manufacturer except to replace such device or system with a device or system equivalent in design and function to the part that was originally installed on the motor vehicle (316.2935, F.S.)

Cats weren't mandatory until 75 if I recall. My 75 camaro had them.

my 1970 Plymouth Road Runner definitely doesn't have that problem! :D

when I had the exhaust done on my 'bird, they were willing to get rid of the cats, but wouldn't because of the O2 sensors. but they said they removed the extra cat (never paid attention) on each pipe for me.

But removing cats is highly illegal, and I believe possibly a federal offense...

There's a big "to do" now about motorcycle exhaust. it's all over the Vtwin based magazines because of Harley and noise, etc (I'm in this cliche as well, I have "pipes" on my Fat Boy, but I LOVE IT).

Flowmaster dual in/out was a chitt, mounted in the center. Go whit a dual straight to the back and mount one muffler left one right.
I love my flowmasters!
hope it helps a little.

I wouldn't have thought to run the exhaust there. Do you have any problems with it rubbing on the suspension or rear or the ground, or anything like that? What size pipe are you running? I might have to try that when I get my exhaust done.
