I was told that I have a dual exhaust setup, which is causing the car to lose some power by the way it's is set up.

I have the 3.8 but right after the pumpkin, the pipe comes to a "T" where it splits off into 2 seperate pipes with 2 magnaflow mufflers and 2 tailpipes. I was told that I would have better flow with just one pipe, one muffler and one tailpipe. The same person also said that once all the stuff on the engine is completed, I should run true duals all the way back.

It doesnt matter because once the motor has more power, I will run true duals on it, but am I really losing horsepower with the pipe splitting at a "T"?

If it is stock, no you aren't losing any h.p. It doesn't sound stock. 3.8 l's didn't have split piping. V8'a do.
