The 02 explorer injectors would work with the 96 tbird fuel rail and wiring, correct? one set i have is brown tipped, the other orange.

you should use your Tbird injectors, they have the proper inputs for the injector wiring harnesses.

No they won't work. Ther 19 lbs but rated at a higher rail pressure so they will run lean on a bird
