well, i am looking to put my cooling fan onto a switch. i want to also while the switch is in the off position, keep the fan operating normally, so in a sense, i need a way to make a short to power in the fan circut, has anyone does this before? i havent glanced at the wiring diagrams yet to figure out where i could splice in and run the switch yet.

You would need to figure out a way to control either pin 14 or pin 17 of the CCRM. Pin 14 activates the low-speed circuit of the fan and pin 17 does the high-speed. The wires going to those pins are Tan/Orange for pin 14 and Light Green/Pink for pin 17. I'm not sure if those pins need power or need to be grounded. Maybe someone else can chime in.
