This just happened to me tonight. 97 3.8l had no problems at all, then tonight when I got home I shut off the car and noticed the radiator fan was still on. Never had that happen before, went inside, came back 20 min. later, still on. Obvious problem. Had to unplug the fan so as not to kill the battery. This made me think about the 'low coolant' light that came on a few days before when I started the car, but light went off later that day, I checked coolant and was fine by the way, so I thought nothing of it.Is this the same CCRM problem talked about before or something else?
Thanks for any help!

check your relays. I had a 93 notchback mustang that did that with the fuel pump. The Fuel pump relay shorted out and the fuel pump would run all the time. Changed out the relay and it worked fine.

sounds like a relay to me. if the fan stays running after shut-down , give the relay a tap w/ a screw driver handle .if the fan stops you need a new relay.
