ok,,,,,,,,,,,,,rpms............power wahtever.........you can acheive 140 w/ the chip and not have power....................if you know gears the gear themslaves get smaller...in size..........thats why the rpm are higher w. bigger (smaller) gears...............next subject

This thread is getting old. I'm closing it. Tough.

Good points have been raised and hopefully some people have learned something.

Here's the gist of the whole thing:

Assuming converter lock, doubling the RPMs WILL double the final speed. This is not up for discussion any further....PERIOD.

Now, here's where people got foggy.... Not everybody will be able to do 140 because many don't have the horsepower. It takes a lot of power to reach that speed/RPM because of the aerodynamic drag. DUH. But if you've got the power, you should be turning twice as many RPMs at 140 as you did at 70. Ok? Done.
